EXPLORE THE FIRST GERMAN CAPITAL!

Romantic timber-framed houses and the abbey church with cathedral treasury in Quedlinburg. In Quedlinburg you can enjoy culture - the historic old town is famous for its more than 2000 splendid timber-framed houses from over 8 centuries and the romantic medieval streets.
The friendly city is full of stories and has been a UNESCO World Heritage City since 1994. A trip to visit the historic city centre and enjoy a walk through the streets up to the Schlossberg is worthwhile! The historical Schlossberg ensemble with the Renaissance castle, the collegiate church St. Servatii and its famous cathedral treasure belongs to the most important buildings and monuments of the Romanesque period. Quedlinburg, a medieval town more than 1000 years old, is the first capital of Germany. In the 10th and 11th centuries the decisive meetings of German kings and emperors took place in Quedlinburg. The first German king, Henry I, was buried in the collegiate church of St. Servatii. The collegiate church with the cathedral treasure is open to visitors.
