24h of Wernigerode – the hiking experience in the Harz Mountains on September 25 & 26, 2020
Once a year, hikers in the Harz Mountains set out on a continuous 24-hour hiking adventure. In September, the German low mountain range will once again take center stage for the fifth time. The routes are designed to combine panoramic trails with numerous cultural highlights from the different regions. Spectacular views, fascinating insights, and truly extraordinary perspectives accompany the hike in and around the Harz National Park.
The hike starts at the historic market square in Wernigerode and finishes at the Schierker Feuerstein Arena in Schierke. The focus is not on competition, but on sharing a unique hiking experience together — by day and by night.
